Meet the Staff

Ben Groen – Senior Pastor
Ben completed his undergraduate degree from Northwestern College (now University of Northwestern, St. Paul) and received his Master’s Degree from Bethel Seminary. He started full-time in 2010 as an Associate Pastor working primarily with the youth. He had that position until January 2017 when he became Oxboro’s Senior Pastor. Ben’s primary passion aligns with the mission of Oxboro church—moving all people closer to Christ.
Spending time with Anna and his three girls are at the top of his list outside of church. Ben also loves to play sports along with cheering on MN sports teams.

Associate/Youth Pastor
Mark graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Pastoral Studies. Before coming to Oxboro in 2025, he has spent time as a youth pastor, on staff with Cadre Missionaries, and has been part of the EFCA Student Ministries Team. Mark and Rachel have been married since 2005, and they enjoy getting time together outside with their kids and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

Kathleen Donaldson – Worship Director
Kathleen studied Piano and Music History at the University of Windsor in Ontario, Canada before pursuing a Master of Church Music from Baylor University. Kathleen worked at churches in Texas and Indiana leading worship and directing choirs before coming on staff at Oxboro in 2024.
In her spare time, Kathleen loves being active, especially hiking, swimming, and gardening but also enjoys sitting with a good book.
She and Jeremy married in 1996 and have two adult children.

Children’s Ministry Director
Rachel graduated from Northwestern College (now University of Northwestern, St. Paul) with a double major in Bible and Youth Ministry. Before coming to Oxboro in 2025, Rachel has worked on staff as a Youth Director, is on staff with Cadre Missionaries, and invests into homeschool families by encouraging and equipping both students and moms with disciple making perspective. Mark and Rachel have been married since 2005, and they enjoy getting time together outside with their kids and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.

Lori Zurich – Office Administration
Lori graduated from Bethel College (now Bethel University, St. Paul, MN) with a degree in Secondary Education/Language Arts. Before coming to Oxboro in 2010 Lori worked as an English teacher at Carl Hayden Community High School in Phoenix, AZ, was a yearbook sales representative in MN for Herff Jones, did computer training at MNETA and worked in retail at Mainstream Boutique. Cooking, baking, scrapbooking and shopping are on Lori’s “to do list” when she isn’t working. Freshman year at Bethel Jeremiah 29:11 became her life verse. It’s comforting knowing that God has great plans for our life even when we wonder what in the world is going on!
